If you're not a Patriots fan you spent the minutes after Super Bowl 53 the same way I did. Looking up the odds for Super Bowl 54. Here are the biggest takeaways from the opening odds.

Patriots +650: All offseason we will hear about how it's time Tom Brady begins to finally regress. Well, Vegas doesn't think so. The New England Patriots are now favored to win their 7th Super Bowl Championship.
Chargers 8/1: The Los Angeles Chargers were one of the least talk about teams throughout the entire season. After starting 1-2, the chargers finished an impressive 12-4. In most cases, a 12-4 record will get you at least home field advantage in the playoffs. Unfortunately for them, the Chargers are in the same division as the Kansas City Chiefs who finished the season at 13-3. With a young, vastly improving defense, Vegas views the Los Angeles Chargers as a serious threat to win Super Bowl 54.
Colts 11/1: Andrew Luck is back. After missing the entire 2017 NFL season, a lot of questions were being asked if Luck would be that same player that was drafted first overall in 2012. He answered those questions by putting together an incredible season that helped him get recognized as the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year. After opening with odds of 40/1 last season, the Colts have become one of the biggest risers in the eyes of Vegas.
Bears 12/1: 2018 Coach of the year Matt Nagy lead the Chicago Bears to their first double digit win season since 2012. While the common fan will think the Bears overperformed last season, Vegas sees no reason why they won't be right back at the top in the upcoming NFL season. With the leagues best defense, and a 3rd year Quarterback in Mitchell Trubisky getting familiar with the offense, the Chicago Bears will be a super contender.
Browns 30/1: Wait what... the Cleveland Browns are amongst the top 15 teams in the NFL with a chance to win the Super Bowl next year? It's actually not as crazy as it sounds. Once Hue Jackson was fired, the Browns went 5-3 and started to play some really good football. Baker Mayfield showed the entire league that he's that same big game player that he was at Oklahoma. If you're a Cleveland Browns fan you have something to cheer for again.
Texans 40/1: After winning the AFC South, the Houston Texans seemed to be a dangerous playoff team nobody wanted to face. Well, that ended quickly after getting completely dominated by the Indianapolis Colts in the Wild Card Game. Dropping down to 40/1 shows me that Vegas expects a this team to underpferom next season.
Dolphins 300/1: This years battle for the number one pick of the 2020 draft goes to the Miami Dolphins. At 300/1, the Dolphins by far have the best chance to end the season with the worst record in football. But is that really the worst possible thing that could happen to a franchise is desperate need of a quarterback? Tank for Tua 2020.
