Browns Among Favorites for Super Bowl 54

The Cleveland Browns officially have the 5th best odds to win the Super Bowl. Yes, the same team that went 0-16 a few years ago. The Browns offseason moves made so far, as well as the trade last night for Odell Beckham Jr. has created a massive shift in the futures market. Opening at 40-1, Cleveland has be been bet down and adjusted to 14-1. Only the Chiefs (6-1), Patriots (6-1), Rams (8-1), and Saints (8-1) have better odds to win Super Bowl 54.

Let me start off by saying there may not be a bigger Baker Mayfield or Odell Beckham Jr. guy than me. Now you’re telling me they’re on the same team? I have to be reading something wrong. I think earlier this year I forced a trade in Madden 2019 to get that them on the Browns. Maybe I should just be a GM cause clearly I saw the potential of this pairing. However, 14-1 to win this years Super Bowl is nuts. I know with the additions of Kareem Hunt and OBJ, the Browns now hold one of the most feared offenses in the NFL. But were putting them into elite company here.

The last time the Browns won a playoff game was in 1994. Baker Mayfield wasn’t even alive at that time. So let’s pump the brakes on this before we turn it into an expectation and ruin whats guaranteed to be a special year with these two together. A 10 win seasons is a realistic goal for a franchise that has won just 18 games in the last 5 seasons. Can they win the Super Bowl though? Maybe. I wouldn’t be shocked but I have to think there will be some growing pains as most new partnerships experience. All I know is Freddie Kitchens may just be the luckiest person alive getting to be the mastermind behind this offense.
